A Great Day For The Knicks

It's a great day for the Knicks organization, and when Donnie Walsh says, "It's not the players, it's the mix of players" that has contributed to the team's struggles in recent seasons, Clyde Frazier and I second that emotion.

With that said, Clyde and I evaluate what affect the arrival of Donnie Walsh will have on the Knicks future.

It was another tough loss for the Knicks, falling to Memphis 120-106 at The Garden Friday night.

Walt "Clyde" Frazier
and I like the grit the young players showed, but their lack of consistency on both sides of the court, especially defense, is what caused their downfall.

The Knicks stuck with the Hornets for much of the game, but New Orleans pulled away in the last three-and-a-half minutes to win it 100-88 at The Garden Monday night.

Jamal Crawford led the Knicks with 20 points, but the big impact player in the game was New Orleans' Chris Paul.

Walt "Clyde" Frazier and I discuss just how good Paul was in the win for the Hornets.

There haven't been many easy ones this year for the Knicks, but Wednesday's game against the Bobcats was one of them.

Thanks to an incredible total team effort, New York equaled its largest margin of victory of the season by beating the Bobcats 113-89 at The Garden.

John Andariese and I go inside the numbers of the Knicks big win.

A late defensive breakdown ended the Knicks' hopes of beating the defending champion Spurs, as New York fell in overtime, 99-93, at The Garden Friday night.

Walt 'Clyde' Frazier and I were baffled at how the Knicks played so differently in the second half, blowing an 18-point halftime lead.

The Knicks started off the second half of the season with a very solid effort at home, holding the 76ers to just one point over the final five minutes to secure an 89-81 win at The Garden Friday night.

Walt "Clyde" Frazier and I hope the Knicks' defensive effort continues when they head out west for a grueling, five-game road trip.

For the first time since late-November, the Knicks put together back-to-back wins. Jamal Crawford led the way with 29 points and New York once again played a solid team game to beat the visiting Wizards, 105-93, last night.

However, Kenny Smith and I feel the real key to the victory was the solid contribution the Knicks got from the bench.

Knicks Courtside: Yao, Turnovers Doom Knicks

The Knicks were unable to carry the momentum from their win over the Bulls into their game against the Rockets and lost, 101-92, last night at The Garden.

Walt "Clyde" Frazier and I agree that the Knicks lost this one because of the dominating performance from Yao Ming and too many turnovers from New York.

Eddy Curry scored a game-high 29 points and Jamal Crawford chimed in with 24 as the Knicks snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 105-100 win over the Chicago Bulls last night.

Zach Randolph scored 18 points and added a career-high 22 rebounds in his return from a one-game suspension, while Nate Robinson tied his season-high of 25 points in a losing effort against the Rockets Saturday night.

Walt "Clyde" Frazier and I feel the Knicks will have a very tough time trying to contend this season if they don't start winning some games soon.

Despite playing without Zach Randolph, the Knicks hung with the Spurs all game long, but dropped their sixth straight in heartbreaking fashion, 97-93, in San Antonio Friday night.

The Knicks broke their five-game losing streak Saturday night at The Garden with a solid 94-86 victory over the Nets.

New York did play a great team game, but for Walt "Clyde" Frazier and I, Eddy Curry's breakout 23-point night was the key to the victory.

Instead, they were met by a Detroit team pumping on all cylinders from the outset, defeating the Knicks, 98-86

Walt "Clyde" Frazier and I feel that the team must make a collective effort to play as one unit in order to start winning games.

The Knicks returned home Tuesday night, but were unable to shake their losing streak that has now reached seven straight.

Four Knick players scored at least 20 points and the entire team was very cohesive in the electrifying win over the Denver Nuggets Tuesday night at The Garden.

My broadcast partner, Mike Breen, and I loved the way many Knicks contributed and feel this win is something the team can build on.
