The Rangers picked up a point in their 4-3 Shootout loss to the Flyers in Philadelphia Friday night, but were dealt a potentially critical blow when Scott Gomez had to leave the game with an upper body injury in the first period.

Joe Micheletti and I evaluate how the Blueshirts will be able to get by without their leading scorer.

New Jersey held the Rangers in-check for most of the game, but Chris Drury tied the score late in the third and Nigel Dawes put home the only goal of the shootout to give the Blueshirts a monster 2-1 win over the Devils Wednesday night at Prudential Center.

Joe Micheletti and I feel this sixth win over the Devils shows just how gutsy this Rangers team is.

A day after losing to the Panthers, the Rangers were shut out by Mike Smith and the Tampa Bay Lightning, 3-0, at the St. Pete Times Forum Saturday.

My broadcast partner, Joe Micheletti, felt this may have been the Rangers' worst game of the season, but gave credit to Henrik Lundqvist for making the game look closer than it was.

The first game of the home-and-home set between the Rangers and Isles was a great one, fitting the rivalry.

Both goaltenders played well, and in the end Jeff Tambellini scored in the sixth round of the shootout to lift the Isles to a 4-3 victory. It all sets up what is sure to be a great game in two days at the Nassau Coliseum

The Rangers have had trouble this year at playing a full solid 60 minutes. That wasn't the case Thursday night in Philadelphia.

Stephen Valiquette stopped 20 shots to earn the first shutout of his career as the Rangers blanked the Flyers, 4-0.

Zdeno Chara scored the game-winning goal in a 4-3 Shootout loss to the Bruins, but Joe Micheletti and I believe it was the Rangers' excessive penalties that put them in a precarious position throughout a back-and-forth game and ultimately led to a blown lead midway through the third period.

In the first contest of a three-game road trip through Western Canada, the Rangers dropped a tough one, 4-3, to the Flames last night. Calgary got off to a great start, and the Rangers were forced to play from behind throughout the game.

The Rangers did play great late, but the biggest positive for Joe Micheletti and I was the great effort from Brandon Dubinsky.

Joe and I have more on the loss.

The Rangers did just about everything right in their dominant 6-1 win over the Maple Leafs Saturday night.

Jaromir Jagr
was great and Stephen Valiquette made 27 saves, but for Joe Micheletti and myself, there's no doubt that the key to the victory was the Rangers superb power play.

Prior to Tuesday night's Rangers-Penguins matchup, Head Coach Tom Renney decided to switch things up a bit by changing his lines, and boy did it ever work.

Scott Gomez scored two goals, while Martin Straka and Chris Drury contributed with a goal apiece as the Rangers shut out Pittsburgh 4-0.

Joe Micheletti and I analyze just how Renney's changes worked to perfection.
